About Irene

I started my journey as a massage therapist in the Summer of 2012. My goal as a therapist has always been to support my community by being a rooting and safe presence. As I grew as I therapist my community guided me to where I could serve best. 

My start as a therapist was as a volunteer at The Caring Place giving massage for patients and family whose lives were touched by cancer. I started as a volunteer before finishing school. I knew right away it was going to be a very important place in my life. A year after finishing school I started as the lead paid therapist within The Caring Place. While working I began my private practice where I worked with patients and clients within hospitals, in hospice care, and within chiropractic care.

I knew I wanted my work to be safe and trustworthy. To me, that meant to build experience and continue training. So I began continuing my education. I have specialized training in end of life, Oncology, Chiropractic, Sports medicine, reiki, and many other modalities. building my tools to improve my work.

Later in my career, I found my passion for hospice massage by volunteering within Hopewell house hospice in Portland Oregon. That experience has shown me what hospice could truly be. 

I have learned so much through massage therapy. I continue to be in awe of what touch and presence can do. 

My goal as a therapist is to build a safe environment where my patients and clients can take a break from the tension in their lives. I want to help people feel connected to there bodies in a way that is comfortable and sheltered.
